The last quarter of the year 2024 passed by like a breeze. With the last two weeks in December long break had Christmas and Hanukkah on the same day and New Years Eve fell in the middle of the week, life seemed to go by so quickly. A lot of events happened from the end of summer to December; from Kristin and Kyle's wedding, Sarah's college tours in Colorado, The New York Marathon, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year's holidays. We welcomed 2025 with hope and optimism.

Kristin and Kyle had such a beautiful wedding on October 5th at their house in the town of Franklin, NY. The weather in early fall was so spectacular that day, cloudy but sunny with a cool breeze. Kristin was beautiful and the wedding was perfect.

Mid October we traveled to Colorado to look at 2 colleges for Sarah. First stop was Colorado College in Colorado Springs and the second stop was at The University of Colorado at Boulder. We spent our first day at Colorado College's Fall open house After the school presentation, we were impressed with the school's academics. The next morning we drove to University of Colorado at Boulder for a student lead campus tour. Boulder is a beautiful town and the Boulder campus is amazing. The campus was buzzing with students on their way to classes. The buildings all matched in the same architecture style. The facility is very impressive with indoor soccer field, football stadium, beautiful ice skating rink, tennis courts, etc.

We celebrated Dawit's birthday, Grace and Paul's wedding anniversary in October and Kurt's birthday in November, We went to Thai restaurant called Tha Praya for Dawit's birthday. The food and drinks there were great. For Grace and Paul's wedding anniversary we went to Oiji Mi, a contemporary Korean restaurant in the Flatiron area. For Kurt's birthday, we went to a really cool restaurant in Tribeca called "Holywater". We loved the vibe of the old New England style. Amazing fried chicken and intimate space.

Early November, I ran another NYC marathon, David, Dawit and Kurt volunteered at the water station on mile 18. It was a very nice cool day compared to the year before that was very hot. I enjoyed the race much more this time around. I got home before the sun went down and was very happy to finish another amazing NYC marathon.

Thanksgiving in Florida this year was very nice. David made boneless turkey and side dishes and I made cornbread, key lime pie and apple pie. Robin made black and white cookies and David's mom made sugar cookies. We had a lot of people joining us including Grace, Paul and Elizabeth. The weather in Florida was warm while it was very cold back in NYC. The day after Thanksgiving, we went to have stone crabs at Billy's Stone Crab It was our first time having a lot of stone crabs, they were so delicious, thanks to Grace and Paul for taking us out to this special place in Fort Lauderdale.

Beautiful Fall both in the city and upstate this year.
